LOCALE is the latest venture from designedmade inc. set in the beautiful Waterside Pavilion.  Part exhibition, part design pop-up, Locale features the work of some of Tasmania's best designersand makers working across jewellery, ceramics, glass, textiles, furniture and printmaking to produce a diverse range of sculptural and functional objects for the home and to wear.

 

There is a collective approach to sustainable practices and the retention of traditional manufacturing in the production of works that are both skilful, innovative, authentic and locally produced.  Much of the work references Tasmania's beautiful environment and the special places that inspire the artists and makers.
