Next year will be 190 years since Hadley’s Orient Hotel was established in Hobart, and next year designedmade will be helping Hadley’s Hotel celebrate with an exhibition that uses the history of Hadley’s as a starting point for the work. 

​

The exhibition, the Art of Dining will be held in the Howard Hadley Gallery in April 2024.

Famous guests, society events eccentric characters and lavish dinners as well as numerous heirlooms provide a rich source of inspiration.

Through research, tours, discussions and “show and tells” the work is starting to come together and be realised.
